MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - For years, Reflection Ministries built its reputation on helping victims of human trafficking and exploitation throughout the Permian Basin and across Texas.

Now, the organization's founder and CEO, Lisa Bownds, and COO, Elizabeth Walker, have been arrested on kidnapping charges and are at the center of an expanding criminal investigation.

While the arrests have shocked many in the community, former residents and employees say the allegations did not come as a surprise.
