COAHOMA, Texas (KOSA) - After 10 years leading the Coahoma Bulldogette softball team, head coach Alex Orosco is stepping down, he confirmed to First Alert 7 Thursday.

This comes after a fifth straight appearance in the UIL 3A state championship.

His Bulldogettes lost in the 2026 title game to Santa Gertrudis Academy from Kingsville, TX. Coahoma won the state championship in 1998 and lost in the state final numerous times in the 2000s.
