LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The 2026 Global Sorghum Conference is coming to Lubbock this month, and registration for the event is still open.

It is the first time Lubbock has hosted the conference and the first time it has been held in the U.S. Growers, researchers and industry leaders will gather at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center from Sept. 14 through Sept. 18. Yinping Jiao, an associate professor of crop population genomics at the Institute of Genomics for Crop Abiotic Stress Tolerance at Texas Tech University, is among the experts scheduled to attend, according to the release.
