33-year-old man drowns while fishing in San Jacinto River in Montgomery County
A 33-year-old man drowned in the San Jacinto River in Montgomery County while fishing after being overcome by the current.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas - The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office says a 33-year-old man drowned Sunday after he was overcome by the current while fishing in the San Jacinto River.
Authorities say it happened near Hill Road and Sorter Road in the Porter area.
The sheriff's office says they received a call at approximately 6:18 p.m. about a possible drowning in the river.
