County thankful for response readiness
Kerr County Sheriff Larry Leitha reports no missing persons following recent flooding, praising the county's emergency response and search and rescue efforts.

Though Kerr County is still conducting search and rescue checks throughout flood-damaged areas, Sheriff Larry Leitha said there are no reports of anyone missing.
"The best news right now is that we don't have any reports of anybody missing," Leitha said at the county's press conference on Friday.
"I'm really proud of that." Virginia covers local government for the Kerrville Daily Times.
