New Braunfels City Manager Robert Camareno has announced his plans to retire from the city at the end of May 2027, concluding an 18-year career with the city and a 30-year career in public service.
Camareno shared his retirement plans with the Mayor and City Council during his annual performance evaluation in November 2025, according to a release from the city.
"Public service has been more than a career, it has been my calling for 30 years," Camareno said.
