KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) - Killeen's fire chief has been named a finalist for chief of the Grand Prairie Fire Department, according to an announcement on the city of Grand Prairie's page.
James Kubinski is in the final stage of the search along with Ricardo "Richie" Quintero, who has experience with the Christi Fire Department, and Stephan Lopez, who has previous experience with Dallas Fire & Rescue.
The public is invited to meet the three finalists in person at a community meet-and-greet on Wednesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. According to previous KWTX reporting, Kubinski was appointed Killeen's fire chief in December 2020 and assumed his duties in February 2021.
