"Chad Powers" is returning for a second season, and star Glen Powell says viewers can expect a more intense story as the show's characters face higher stakes.

"Season two was always something we were excited about because there's so much to establish in season one, and I feel like we did such a great job of doing that in terms of this cast and characters and the comedy and building the lie," Powell told On The Red Carpet's Rocsi Diaz.

"Season 2, I feel like really delivers on the intensity. The stakes are higher, the performances are more dialed in and I'm really proud of this season." The season follows Powell's character, disgraced college quarterback Russ Holliday, who continues posing as standout player Chad Powers as the South Georgia Catfish move closer to a national championship.
