HOUSTON COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - A 5-year-old's fishing tournament win inspired his father to create a free fishing event for children in East Texas.

King Bard, 5, won a fishing tournament on Lake Sam Rayburn as the youngest angler competing.

He said his favorite part of fishing is the moment before the catch."When when you get that excitement when you're ready to go out and and catch some fish," King said.
