ARANSAS PASS, Texas - Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) crews spent Thursday practicing how to install the storm surge wall along State Highway 361 in Aransas Pass as part of annual hurricane season preparations.

Danny Cox, a maintenance administrator with TxDOT in Corpus Christi, said the annual drill is designed to ensure crews are ready before severe weather arrives.
