San Antonio Democrat Kristian Carranza, who's running for the Texas House District 118 seat, this week reported that her campaign raised more money than any other Texas House Democrat this cycle.

Since Jan. 1, Carranza, who's vying to represent Bexar County's southern and eastern exurbs in the Texas House, has raised $311,145, out-fundraising her Republican opponent Jorge Borrego by more than $250,000.

Sign up What's more, Carranza's campaign reported having more than $220,000 in cash on hand, compared to Borrego's $13,115. That's a 17-to-1 edge for Carranza.
