TEXSAS CITY, Texas (KTRK) -- A shelter-in-place order has been issued for parts of Texas City on Sunday morning due to a reported plant fire, city officials said.

The Texas City Office of Emergency Management made the announcement at about 9:45 a.m. The Texas City Police Department said at about 10 a.m. that the order was issued for residents from Bay Street to SH-146 due to a reported fire at the Marathon refinery.

In an update at about 10:20 a.m., the order was narrowed to cover residents from 14th Street to 34th Street, according to police.
