BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - Changes are coming to the schedules for Bryan Fire Department fire fighters."I can only imagine how happy they are to really be able to go home, rest, focus on the family, focus on the things they enjoy," said Chris Lamb, the Bryan Fire Department Public Information Officer.
Bryan Fire Department announced yesterday that it is launching a pilot for a new 48 hours on and 96 hours off schedule for it's staff, starting on October 12th.
Switching from it's current 24 hours on and 48 hours off schedule."So the pilot's going to be for a year. And within that year, we're going to really just work in the ins and outs of the scheduling, see if things need to be tweaked, see how it works, and see if it's something that we want to keep permanently," said Lamb.
