The Brownwood High tennis team, with a late addition to the schedule, competed in a pair of non-district tennis matches over the weekend, falling to Fredericksburg, 16-3, and Snyder, 10-9.

Against Snyder, the Lions won six of nine matches while the Lady Lions added three triumphs.

On the boys side, in doubles action No. 1 Blake Hutchins and Aiden Opltonik (4-0, 2-4, 19-17 over Jayden Acosta and Adrian Alanis) and No. 3 Parker Dennison and Duncan Dennison (4-0, 4-0 over Destin Dagani and Tony Thammauvonga) came out on top.
