Fredericksburg's City Secretary and staff received state recognition from its peers at Tuesday's City Council meeting with a special presentation by Robyn Densmore on behalf of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association.

Densmore, a TMCA board member and the niece of Fredericksburg Fire Chief Lynn Bizzell, said she was there to talk about someone who puts out a different type of fire.

"The city secretary is the quiet backbone of local government," Densmore said.
