Gov. Abbott appoints Angelina County district judge-elect to finish Inselmann term
Governor Abbott appoints Lufkin City Attorney Kristi Skillern as 217th Judicial District Court Judge in Angelina County to complete Judge Robert Inselmann's term.

ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - Gov. Greg Abbott has appointed the judge-elect to finish out Judge Robert Inselmann's term following his resignation.
Monday, Abbott announced Lufkin City Attorney Kristi Skillern as 217th Judicial District Court Judge in Angelina County for a term set to expire on Dec. 31, 2026.
Skillern is the district's judge-elect after winning the runoff against Stephen Walker.
