Target is recalling certain Up & Up brand baby wipes after testing identified potential microbial contamination that could pose serious health risks, particularly for infants, young children and the immunocompromised.

The voluntary recall affects Up & Up Fragrance Free Baby Wipes and Up & Up Fresh Cucumber Scented Baby Wipes sold at Target stores nationwide and through Target's website.

According to the recall announcement, the action follows customer complaints of product discoloration and testing by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that detected the presence of Burkholderia cepacia complex and Burkholderia gladioli in product samples.
