The Major James Kerr Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will host a Liberty Tree Dedication Ceremony Oct. 3 on the lawn of the Bandera County Courthouse as part of the America 250 commemoration.

The ceremony, themed "Rooted in Patriotism," will take place from 11 a.m. to noon at 500 Main St. in Bandera.

A community reception will follow the ceremony.
