An outflow boundary from a decaying area of rain and thunderstorms in upper east Texas has triggered a few pockets of rain this afternoon.

While it will not be for everyone, at least a few areas will get cooled down from a downpour until the sun fades away this evening, leading to the lingering showers drying up on radar.

The first half of the weekend will feature more hot and steamy conditions, which means if you plan on heading out to the Texas Blueberry Festival in downtown Nacogdoches on Saturday, make sure you lather up with sunscreen and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated as best you can.
