On Thursday, July 16, at 12:05 a.m., a 2018 Truck Tractor towing a trailer was traveling west on Interstate 10 when it collided with a 2007 Ford Ranger stopped perpendicular in the inside westbound lane of the interstate.

The driver and sole occupant of the Ford Ranger has been identified as Joey Michael May, 33, who died at the scene.

The driver of the truck-tractor was not injured, nor was he identified by the Texas DPS.
