The 2026 Republican Party of Texas Convention in Houston brought together thousands of delegates, alternates, elected officials, and grassroots activists from across Texas to chart the future direction of the Republican Party.
Meeting under the theme "Strong Roots, Bold Future," 19 delegates from Gillespie County spent three days debating and voting on party leadership, rules, platform planks, resolutions, and legislative priorities.
At the convention, the delegates overwhelmingly elected Vice Chair D'Rinda Randall to replace the current Chairman Abraham George.
