LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The City of Lufkin has closed South First Street from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday for scheduled overlay work.

City spokesperson Joshua Gentry announced the closure will run from the back entrance of McDonald's to Pershing Avenue in Lufkin.

Drivers should expect delays, follow posted detours and allow extra travel time, he said.
