'Run Along the River' to benefit local VFDs

A 5K run event called 'Run Along the River' on November 27 will benefit local volunteer fire departments in the Center Point-Comfort area.

Interested individuals and groups looking to work off Thanksgiving dinner, and support a great cause, can now begin registering at athleteguild.com/event for November's "Run Along the River," to be hosted by RA Texas Nursery Gravel & Stone, located at 7373 Hwy. 27 between Center Point and Comfort.

All proceeds from the November 27 event will benefit first responders serving volunteer fire departments in Center Point and Comfort.

Entry fees are $20 for the 1-mile run/walk and $30 for the 5K run/walk.
