CANTON, Texas (KLTV) - A Canton Police Department Officer left the hospital Saturday after being injured during a shooting while on the job.

According to the CPD, Officer Chris Watson was released from the hospital surrounded by family, friends and his law enforcement family.

Watson was injured Tuesday night after a suspect opened fired at a group of law enforcement that were attempting to serve two felony warrants on the suspect.
