FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas - Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan and local law enforcement leaders are expected to discuss automated license plate reader technology and address community concerns about privacy during a press conference Wednesday afternoon.

The multi-agency press conference is scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office in Richmond.

According to the sheriff's office, officials will explain how automated license plate recognition (ALPR) technology is used to support criminal investigations, improve coordination among law enforcement agencies and help protect communities.
