A 16-year-old Clear Lake High School student remains hospitalized after Houston police say a school bus hit him while he was riding his bicycle outside the school on Oct. 16.

What we know: Jakxon Kessler's mother, Brandie Kessler, says her son was riding home from school when the bus struck him and dragged him about 30 feet.

Houston police say the crash happened around 2:45 p.m. outside Clear Lake High School along Bay Area Boulevard near Krueger Way as the bus driver was pulling out of the school parking lot.
