The Fredericksburg chapter of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) will present two very different programs in the upcoming week.

The first is Thursday, Oct. 22, when petroleum geologist Dr. Frank Caramanica will explain the importance of the Llano Uplift and plate tectonics in shaping the Hill Country in ancient times and how they still impact the area today.

The second is taught by one of OLLI's favorite speakers, Katherine Peake.
