MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (KOSA) - A Midland County jury has sentenced a man to 60 years in prison after finding him guilty of trafficking a large amount of methamphetamine.

According to the Midland County District Attorney's Office, on Wednesday, July 8, a jury found Simon Hernandez guilty of manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance involving at least 200 grams but less than 400 grams of methamphetamine.

According to the Midland County District Attorney's Office, Hernandez sold around 220 grams, nearly half a pound of methamphetamine to a confidential informant during a controlled purchase conducted by Midland Police Department narcotics detectives on Nov. 18, 2025.
