Gracie Arguijo celebrated a special milestone on Friday, Oct. 9, when she was presented with the Texas Treasure Business Award from the Texas Historical Commission.

The owner of Gracie's Beauty Salon in Pleasanton, Gracie and her husband opened the business in a small building with a $25 savings bond.

The salon has been in operation since March 7, 1974.
