8 Lufkin firefighters receive life-saving awards for reviving patients
Eight Lufkin firefighters received life-saving awards after successfully reviving two cardiac arrest patients who survived with normal neurological function.

LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - Eight Lufkin firefighters were honored Tuesday with life-saving awards after two separate crews each revived a patient who had gone into cardiac arrest and was clinically dead at the scene.
The awards were presented at a Lufkin City Council meeting.
Both patients survived with normal neurological function and are alive today.
