LEVELLAND, Texas (KCBD) - The Wallace Theater is known for its rich history, a Hockley County staple for nearly 100 years.
Executive director Alycyn Keeling knows that all too well and wanted to bring the pop up museum known as "Locally Made: A History of West Texas" to show off the community's contributions."Thinking about those artifacts that you would have in a cedar chest at home or something your grandmother has made that's been hanging on the wall, those items are so special and they tell the story of our community," Keeling said.
"They tell the history of families and traditions and values and it's what makes us who we are."From quilts to cookbooks, to paintings and art pieces, if it's made an impact on someone's life in Hockley County, it's well represented here.
