A gun-toting man clad in his underwear and standing in the street died after Kendall County deputies returned fire when he shot at them, authorities said.

The dead man was identified in a release issued by the Sheriff's Office as Austin Hodo, a 2026 graduate of Geneva School of Boerne, and member of the Eagles football team.

No other biographical details were available.
