Police officers testify in third day of Tyler man's murder trial

Tyler Police Department officers testified on the third day of a murder trial for Kendrick Ross, who is accused of fatally shooting 32-year-old Demonta Jaquis Brown and injuring Brown's sister in an October 2025 confrontation.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Tyler Police Department officers testified Thursday in the murder trial of a Tyler man accused of fatally shooting a man during an October 2025 confrontation.

Kendrick Ross is charged with murder in the shooting death of 32-year-old Demonta Jaquis Brown and aggravated assault for injuring Brown's sister, Autumn Pierce, in the shooting.

Ross said he acted in self-defense.
