John Albert Sanchez, a former city of Pleasanton employee who was indicted by an Atascosa County grand jury in 2024 on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact, received deferred adjudication earlier this year after entering a no contest plea.

Court records show Sanchez appeared before 81st Judicial District Judge Jennifer Dillingham on April 8, 2026, and entered a plea of nolo contendere, or no contest and to the lesser charge of indecency with a child by exposure, a third-degree felony.

Under the plea agreement, the aggravated sexual assault charge was dismissed.
