After more than two decades serving Boerne, City Secretary Lori Carroll will retire in early 2027, officials announced.

According to a prepared release, Carroll joined the city administrative staff in January 2003 as an assistant to the city manager.

She was promoted to deputy city secretary later that year and became city secretary in July 2011.
