TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Organizers behind Tyler's annual School is Cool event say they have reached 70% of their fundraising goal and are asking the community to donate money, supplies, or time before the Aug. 6 event.
Now in its 13th year, School is Cool has grown from distributing roughly 300 backpacks in its first year to approximately 2,000 per year.
The event is a partnership between the City of Tyler, the Tyler Area Business Education Council, and Tyler ISD.
