TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - Smith County jail officials testified Tuesday on the third day of the punishment phase for Jamaurea Jermaine Britton, 22, found guilty of capital murder in the 2023 death of Dejah Hood, 18.

Britton could face the death penalty or life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Punishment proceedings began Thursday afternoon after the jury found Britton guilty Thursday morning.
