(KGNS) - Webb County voters are closing in on a milestone after the first few days of early voting, with nearly 10,000 ballots cast.

On the third day of early voting, Oct. 21, voters turned out at some of the area's most popular voting locations, including the Laredo Fire Department Administrative Center on Del Mar and the downtown Elections Office.

With more than 20 races on the ballot at the county, state and federal levels, Webb County voters are encouraging others to make a plan to vote."Our vote does count. When we vote, we're able to go to that person that we put in office and tell them, you know what, we put you in office. I need you to represent my district, my area. That is the main reason I vote: to have a voice. I cannot complain about something that's not being done if I didn't voice my right to vote," said Yvonne Guerra, a Webb County voter.
