More than 1,000 AEP Texas customers in Cameron County are experiencing power outages as thunderstorms continue to track through the area.

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) -- More than 1,000 AEP Texas customers in Cameron County are experiencing power outages as thunderstorms continue to track through the area.
As of 6 p.m. Saturday, AEP Texas reports that approximately 1,331 customers are without power.
The power outage is affecting a significant number of customers in Harlingen.
