A suspect was detained after reportedly shooting and killing his brother in Montgomery County on Tuesday morning, authorities said.

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a firearms disturbance in the 20700 block of Kenswick Park Drive at about 8 a.m. Investigators said the 911 caller said he had shot his brother.

When deputies arrived at the scene, they began life-saving measures on the victim; however, he was later pronounced dead, MCSO said.
