SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - The Sherman Police Department has been hosting a week-long summer youth camp for middle school students, giving children an inside look at the daily tasks of local law enforcement.

All week, students have spent four hours a day at the departments headquarters.

Wednesday, they learned about detective work, continuing a mock investigation, and one of the biggest highlights was the K-9 unit.
