Former Odessa police officer arrested for misuse of official information

A former Odessa police officer was arrested for misusing official information by inappropriately contacting former arrested suspects.

ODESSA, Texas (KOSA) - A former Odessa police officer was arrested after messaging former arrested suspects for inappropriate reasons.

According to Odessa police, on September 9, former Odessa police officer Jody Baer was arrested for Misuse of Official Information.

Baer was placed on adminsitrative leave without pay when the claims were reported, police say.
