(KGNS) - A 16-year-old is facing human smuggling charges after running from Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) troopers in Webb County.

DPS said the chase happened August 25, when the teen led troopers on a pursuit in a pickup along Wormser Road.

The driver eventually stopped and ran into a private ranch with several passengers, DPS said.
