In the first matter, council members gave final approval to the Early Municipal Development District's portion of an incentive to the Victoria Retail Group for projects at the Heartland Shopping Center, formerly known as the Heartland Mall.
At their May 12 meeting, council members council members approved an $800,000 sales tax rebate over a 10-year period to the Victoria Retail Group, the Austin-based owner of the Heartland Shopping Center, to help fund improvements.
