The City of Kerrville Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to join two events in August: the Kids Triathlon and the Disc Golf Tournament.

The 29th annual Kids Triathlon returns Saturday, Aug. 8, at Schreiner University, 2100 Memorial Blvd. Children 18 and under can compete in the swim, bike and run event, sponsored by Hill Country Bicycle Works.

A pre-race meeting starts at 8:45 a.m., followed by a staggered race start at 9 a.m. Pre-registration ends Thursday, Aug. 6, at 5 p.m. The fee is $15 for one child, with discounts for families: $10 for a second child and $5 for each additional child.
