For anyone concerned about the ongoing drama with the Kerr County Republican Party, I would like to suggest a few things you can do to help ensure this runoff election goes smoothly.
As you may know, the Kerr County Republican Party (KCRP), composed of 20 precinct chairs and its officers, voted to require hand-counting of ballots on Election Day, May 26, 2026. (Special note - the vote was NOT unanimous.) Many citizens are vehemently opposed to hand counting because of the real possibility of human error, reporting delays, and other unforeseen problems.
And, as some know, a few other counties have tried this without great success.
