Annual mobile mammography benefit returns Oct. 17 A mobile mammography program that has logged more than 53,000 miles across Central Texas is asking for community support at its second annual fundraiser.

The Lone Star Circle of Care's Big Pink Bus has served Travis, Bastrop, Williamson, Bell, Burnet, Caldwell and Hays counties since 2021, bringing affordable mammography services directly to patients.

The bus has provided more than 10,000 mammograms, either free or at low cost, diagnosing more than 80 women with breast cancer and connecting them to treatment.
