SHELBYVILLE, Texas (KTRE) - The Shelbyville Dragons overcame a 19-point deficit with 50 seconds left to beat state-ranked Joaquin to open district play.

Head Coach Jerred Wallace said the team's message to the team at that point was to keep working and not give up."The game's not over until it's over," Wallace said.

"We always think we got a shot. And so I mean, you just keep playing hard, patting each other on the back. Leaders step up on the sidelines, keeping people engaged in the game and just stay focused until the game is over with. And we gave ourselves a chance to win."Onside kick recoveryWallace said an onside kick recovery inside the 10-yard line was a key play in the comeback.
