MOODY, Texas (KWTX) - Emily Bounds, a former Central Texas softball star who fought stage four melanoma, which left her paralyzed, with the same determination she showed on the field has died.

Bounds grew up in Moody and graduated from Moody High School in 2015.

She played softball at Sam Houston State for two years before transferring to finish her career at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.
