NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - East Texas organizations are working to remind veterans they are not alone, especially during National PTSD Month.
Nearly 17 veterans die by suicide each day, according to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
James Mosby, the Nacogdoches VFW commander and former Lufkin VFW commander, is a veteran who still experiences effects from his service decades later."It's been... 52 years since I got out. And I still have to take something for nightmares...it's just something you can't get rid of," Mosby said.
